“Thank
you for your kind attention, and I am looking forward to your reply,” Is the closing sentence that usually used in application letter.
And I ‘m sure the applicants are (hopefully) waiting for the reply. Yeah, they
are waiting.
Actually, what they are waiting for is just confirmation whether
they’re accepted (to face the next step: interview) or not. That’s all.
I’ve been sent many application letters for many companies
with the same closing sentence and MOST of them didn’t reply my email at all.
Everyone knows it was kind of rejection.
Sometimes I think the way they ‘reject’ the applicants is
quite mean and makes me wonder why they let the applicants waiting, hoping, and
guessing all day long(?)
Did my email sent? Or…. received as spam?
Did they read the email?
Did they know that many applicants ‘refresh’ their inbox
page twice an hour waiting for a reply?
I guess they did but they ignore it for many reasons that
we will never know why.
And after that, the applicants have two choices: keep
wondering why or moving on and act like we never send the application letter to
them.
Whether we accepted or not, they should tell us just to
make sure.
I’m not asking the companies to reply ALL the applicants
email if they won’t. It’s up to them, anyway.
Also, maybe you ever heard the interviewer said, “Thank
you for your time. We will contact you later.”
(( Later ))
(( Later ))
(( Later ))
Don’t know how long the later is until (if you’re not accepted) it changes become never.
What the uncertainty :”)
They said they will contact you but they never did.
That is another kind of rejection.
In brief, maybe you’re not a person they’re
looking for.
And if those things happen to you, don’t you ever give
up! Just DON’T!
Don’t stop there!
Keep send your application letter until you get the best. Go
tell it to yourself. There’s nothing useless in struggling, even when you’ve
rejected many times.
Keep learn, improve your skills, enrich your knowledge.
Don’t you ever give up!
And hey, don’t forget to smile :)
